Skipton Sheep Daya selection of photos from a commission from Skipton Town Council to cover SKipton Sheep Day 2019 Sheep Day makes perfect sense, as the name 'Skipton' means 'Sheep Town' in a northern dialect. As well as a mini music festival, there was the usual collection of interesting and varied local traders, walkabout artists and performers, and more. The “Sheep Show” was back back with its both hilarious and informative stage show about sheep and wool, and there were a variety of animals to see and pet, irds of prey; and donkey rides. Sheep Day also coincided with Armed Forces Day, including a display by the 5th Regiment Royal Artillery – The Yorkshire Gunnerss, with military vehicles; deactivated artillery. The day ended with the flag lowering ceremony.
